Over the last 10 years, DJing has become extremely popular and DJs are the new rockstars – Calvin Harris earned a whopping $48 million in 2017.
The introduction of cheaper equipment (as discussed in our previous post) make it a hobby that’s easily accessible for anyone. In years gone by you’d need expensive turntables and a large collection of vinyl (not to mention a strong back to carry them everywhere!). Nowadays you can literally just plug-in and play. This has lead to the rise of the selector, a DJ with out any production experience or one-hit-wonders, a DJ whose sole ambition is to find the right music.
As one of the largest agencies in the UK, we receive hundreds of DJ applicants a year – check out this map that shows all our applicants over the past 12 months!
If you’re thinking of applying, please check out our ‘How To Apply‘ blog first and we’ll get back to you if we think you’re suitable for our team.
