DJ Special D, is an award-winning international DJ, all-round entertainer and multi genre specialist from the UK. Special D has been inspired by the likes of Calvin Harris, AVICII and Black Coffee, and has made a natural evolution into artistry.
Throughout his career, Special D has produced over 50 Afrobeats mixes for prominent radio stations, including BBC Radio 1Xtra, Capital Xtra, and Kiss Fresh, and has received the backing of the Afrobeats industry. Having performed over 500 events worldwide, from Europe to Africa, Special D has earned the nickname “shutdown specialist”.
With over 10 years in the industry, Special D has made a massive contribution to promoting Afrobeats, being one of the first DJs to play it on radio in the UK. He has supported Daddy Lumba and been showcased at the prestigious Jazz Café, and was even sponsored by Supermalt!
