PETE GOODING is a DJ, music producer, international radio presenter, blogger and label boss. As resident DJ at the world-famous Café Mambo (since 1996), Gooding has played thousands of iconic sunset sets, so much so that he is widely regarded as part of the very “fabric” of Ibiza.
Throw in Pete’s own, original productions, and it’s clear to see why he is one of the hardest working men in dance music. Pete is at the helm of the club industry with residencies at Bestival (Isle of White), the 80,000-capacity Stella Polaris Festival (Denmark), and Renaissance (UK), as well at the coolest club on The White Isle, Café Mambo. Past residencies in Ibiza include the infamous ‘90s superclub, Renaissance, Pacha, Amnesia and Privilege.
It is perhaps the Balearic attitude that epitomises Pete’s sound, although he is as comfortable playing a full house set in a UK club as he is going “all eclectic” at a sunset or a late night after party. Whatever the occasion, he can be relied upon to deliver the goods.
When Pete’s not touring (to date he has performed in over 80 countries worldwide!), he spends most of his time on collaborations and solo productions, as well as his label and blog/label Secret Life – a collaboration with Phil Dockerty. If that wasn’t enough, he has devoted eight years to his much-loved weekly radio show, The Global Network. The show started on Ministry Radio and is now syndicated to over 200 stations worldwide with a listenership in seven figures each week.
With over two decades DJ’ing under his belt, Pete is not short of accolades. He has released over 150 records and was named Best Ibiza DJ at the Ibiza DJ Awards in 2002. His track ‘Runnin’ as Doman & Gooding was Number One on Beatport and was nominated for a Canadian Juno Award. He has released tracks on major labels including Universal, Sony, Virgin and EMI as well as the best independents.
