What got you into DJing?
Music is the heart & soul of who I am.

Is there a story behind your DJ name?
Apart from the fact that I believe I’m the only DJ using her “real” name. Nothing made up about it what so ever.

Which big name DJs’ style do you most reflect?
Is it bad to say that I can’t compare myself to anyone. However I do have a lot of love and respect for Annie Mac.

Do you remember your first ever gig?
My first every gig was an international booking. For Smirnoff IceTell us about your all-time favourite artists. Growing up I was a huge Madonna fan, however I do love all different genres of music, from Lauryn Hill to Marvin Gay to Miguel, it’s more depending on the type of mood I’m in at the time.

What has been your most ridiculous DJ request to date?
Only because of the venue and I really was not expecting it. I was asked if I could play spice girls. Sadly I didn’t have any to hand!

How do you think DJ technology will change into the future?
It’s tough to say, because people still love and appreciate a good old Skool vinyl DJ, however I’d be lying if I said I’m not a fan of USB sticks.

What was your worst gig and why?
I’ve been quite lucky .. I can’t think of a really bad gig, however if I had to choose one, it was a gig in the middle of no-where, the promoter’s music request was completely and totally not what the crowd wanted. Luckily I came equipped and being able to read the crowd I was able to turn the night around.

What was your best ever gig and why?
Cannes filmed festive for the launch of the Expendable 3 Amazing backdrop. Over 2000 people, they even asked me to do an extra hours set! Unforgettable night and perfect energy.

Do you think we will see DJ robots soon?
I hope not! That’s probably my worst and any DJ worst nightmare

Do any ‘star’ DJs get on your nerves?
Honestly. No – as I like to say ” it’s all love”
