Leo Wilcox

Leo Wilcox is an international DJ, independent record label owner and music composer. In his time as a professional DJ, Leo has played in London’s most luxurious and glamorous venues, and provided the highest quality of entertainment in high-end venues overseas.

Leo’s repertoire comprises of: House, Nu Disco, Chillout, Latin, Arabic and Lounge music.

In addition to his DJing profession, Leo has released music with independent record labels and his own label, Basement Recordings. His musical background also entails Jazz piano and he is currently studying for a BA Hons. degree in Music Production, which focuses on film music composition and studio/live sound engineering. Leo is an accomplished DJ and musician, and his attention to detail will ensure entertainment of the highest excellence.

Leo’s musical influences comprises of a variety of cultures and styles which range from Jazz to Latin and Middle Eastern compositions.
His musical knowledge and collection started to evolve to a more eclectic and diverse catalogue when he began studying Jazz piano. Whilst studying Jazz, Leo was exposed to a wide range of Jazz and Latin composers, such as: McCoy Tyner, Keith Jarret and Chick Corea. His studies also lead him to discover traditional Middle Eastern compositions by Egyptian composer, Hossam Ramzy, which helped to kindle a passion for Middle Eastern and Arabic music.

Leo also developed a love for electronic music at an early age, after discovering House music producers Daft Punk. This encouraged him to search for more artists and DJs that created and played similar styles of music. After meticulously listening to a variety of DJs and artists, Leo began to master the skill of building DJ mixes that would complement the wide range of music he was listening to… this helped to build his extensive repertoire of music and ability to play for audiences and clients of varied nationalities and cultural backgrounds.
