Millie Cotton is a currently in-demand female DJ with a career in music that spans over a decade. Growing up, she was influenced by 90s rave anthems, jungle and UKG, which is reflected in her current sets.
After graduating from Central Saint Martins, Millie moved to London to pursue her dreams of working in the music industry. She quickly got accustomed to the city’s vibrant nightlife and immersed herself in the dance culture, frequenting iconic venues such as Plastic People, Corsica Studios and The Nest.
To refine her sound, Millie took a brief foray into fashion and music journalism, before landing her first ever booking – a six-week booking in-store for Nike. Since then, she has kept dancefloors heaving and stereos turned up high, curating euphoric, hands-in-the-air moments at festivals and clubs alike.
Millie has recently been honing her sound as a producer and is working on her first solo project. As she strives to craft a long-lasting career as a DJ, she also strives to nourish the ecosystem around her, and has taken on a ‘pay-it-forward’ attitude. She is the host of Women in Music Podcast, an inclusive platform to elevate female voices in the music industry by sharing acknowledged women’s stories. Previous guests include Arlo Parks, Sam Divine, and Joy Crookes.
