Its set to be a very musically-festive extended Jubilee weekend and a lot of us will be looking find out where to head to for some DJ action. Two of Storm’s finest (Glu Sound and Adam Wood) will be heading over to the Epsom Downs Racecourse on Saturday the 2nd of June where they will be DJing from midday onwards in the Queen’s presence. Let’s hope for a right Royal knees-up! We’ll hopefully be back with some great photos and get them up on the site.
For the more underground sounds over the entire weekend, one of the best reference points is Resident Advisor who transparently show what’s popular. Listings for the 1st of June can be found here with the Future Disco boat party looking to be a winner; the 2nd of June including the always-fantastic Victoria Park Field Day can be found here, then Laurent Garnier doing a day&night party on Sunday the 3rd; and finally there’s a multitude of street parties on Monday and Tuesday.
More generic events where you might find a scattering of DJs can be referred to through Timeout magazine, but these are still not very well ranked to find what is actually popular. The BBC also have a very brief summary of what’s set to happen available here too.
In any case its set to be a fantastic weekend and we wish you all a great time!
