Oscar Arroyo (aka Esquimal) hails from the musical streets of Mexico City where he grew up with a rock music background. His subsequent love for house music grew and got involved in Bounce, the weekly show on Radioactivo station and its associated house parties, known to be the best in Mexico City. Over the past 10 years he conquered Mexico City’s dancefloors: Hotel Habita’s top floor bar, Cafeina, Ixchel, Colmillo, Rioma, AM. More recently he relocated to London where he’s played out in a host of locations including The CAMP, The Brickhouse, The Finsbury; and Glastonbury Festival.
His DJ sets include a mix of rock music for the dancefloor, nu-disco, house, electro house and even tropical stuff, with main influences coming from Tim Sweeney (Beats in Space), Optimo (Espacio) and labels such as Gomma, DFA and Comeme.
