Club MTV has replaced the MTV Dance Network on Sky (channel 354) and Virgin Media (channel 314).
MTV said the channel will be “the ultimate party destination” and has the tagline “Club MTV: Where The Weekend Never Stops”.
Club MTV will celebrate and highlight club culture via its programming, which includes a mixture of EDM, urban music, crossover hits and different types of electronic genres, according to Digital TV Europe. At long last! MTV will be playing music again and not just airing shows about pregnant teenagers or drunk Geordies.
Club MTV is also an events franchise that has been touring the UK since 2013 and celebrated the launch of their new channel with a 15-date tour. The final gig is on 19/06 at Ministry of Sound, tickets are still available on Resident Advisor.
